An engraved glass with a vine motif came to us without a foot.The case would be much easier if both elements of the broken vessel were preserved. It would be enough then to glue and eventually supplement the cavities. Here, however, the matter was much more complicated, because it was necessary to completely reconstruct the missing foot.
Fortunately, we received also another glass from the set. Thanks to it, it was possible to precisely form and recreate the element from a special conservation resin. In the mass, small air bubbles are visible, which slightly differentiate the copy from the original. However, this is unavoidable. The resin we use is the best product of this type on the world market so far, no better recipe has been developed. It has properties close to glass, it is durable, it can be processed and engraved like glass.
The final effect - the glasses can proudly STAND next to each other.
