St.Mary holding the Child Jesus in her lap. She's sitting on the tree, surrounded by the lightness and the flames. She is the new Eve and the new Earth that gives birth to our Savior. Since the middle ages the imagery of Mother of God with the unburnt bush has appeared many times in religious iconography. "I was exalted like a cedar in Lebanon and like a cypress on Mount Zion, I was exalted like a palm tree in Kadesh and like a rose bush in Jericho, I was exalted like a beautiful olive tree in the plains, and like a sycamore tree beside the waters along a wide road." (Sirach, 24,17), "The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be." (Proverbs 8, 22) "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." (Colossians 1, 15-17)
